COASTMADE began as a mindset before it became music.

It represents what’s earned, not given, shaped by faith, discipline, and the power of community. Before it was a sound, a logo, or a project, COASTMADE was a way of moving through the world with purpose, resilience, and intention.

Created by StillDSG, a Zambian immigrant who moved to Portsmouth in 2008, COASTMADE grew from lived experience. Arriving in a new city meant learning how to adapt, how to belong, and how to build something meaningful from the ground up. Portsmouth became home, not just a location, but a place of formation.

Faith has always been the foundation. Not as a performance, but as an anchor. A quiet strength that informs decisions, values, and direction. COASTMADE is rooted in belief, belief in God, belief in growth, and belief in people.

What started as a personal ethos evolved into a music project focused on faith, community, and real life. But COASTMADE is bigger than one person. It’s a movement for those who keep showing up, building with integrity, and choosing purpose over shortcuts.
